Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how GLP Coaching ("GLP Coaching", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit glpcoaching.com or interact with any of our online services. It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and the choices you have to control them.
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, which together govern your use of our website.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the site. Similar technologies such as pixels, web beacons, local storage, and software development kits function in comparable ways and are covered by this policy wherever we refer to "cookies".
Some cookies are set by us (first-party cookies) and some are set by third parties whose services we use on our website (third-party cookies). Cookies may also differ in how long they persist: session cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
How we use cookies
We use cookies to keep our website secure and running properly, to remember your preferences, to understand how visitors engage with our content so we can improve it, and to deliver and measure marketing that is relevant to you. Some cookies are essential and cannot be switched off; others are only set with your consent where required by applicable law.
Where consent is required, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the cookie preferences control that appears on your first visit and can be reopened at any time from our website. You can also withdraw or change your consent later using the same control.
Cookie categories
We group cookies into four standard categories. The examples below are representative, not exhaustive: the specific cookies set on your device may vary depending on the pages you visit and the features you use.
Strictly Necessary
These cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, filling out forms, or completing a purchase. Without them, services you have asked for cannot be provided.
- session— maintains your authenticated session and basic site state. First-party. Session.
- csrf_token— protects form submissions against cross-site request forgery. First-party. Session.
- cookie_consent— remembers your cookie preferences so we do not ask again on every visit. First-party. Up to 12 months.
- __cf_bm— Cloudflare bot management to distinguish humans from automated traffic. Third-party (Cloudflare). Up to 30 minutes.
- __stripe_mid / __stripe_sid— fraud prevention for payments. Third-party (Stripe). Session to 1 year.
Preferences
These cookies allow the website to remember choices you make, such as your preferred language, region, or display settings, so we can offer a more personal experience.
- locale— remembers your language preference. First-party. Up to 12 months.
- ui_theme— remembers interface preferences such as light or dark mode. First-party. Up to 12 months.
Statistics
Also called analytics cookies, these help us understand how visitors use our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously or in aggregate. We use them to measure traffic, see which pages are most useful, and identify where the experience can be improved.
- _ga, _ga_*— Google Analytics. Distinguish unique users and sessions for aggregate reporting. Third-party (Google). Up to 2 years.
- _gid— Google Analytics. Distinguishes users over a 24-hour window. Third-party (Google). 24 hours.
- sentry-*— Sentry performance and error monitoring to diagnose issues with the site. Third-party (Sentry). Session to 30 days.
- _vercel_insights— anonymous page-level performance measurement. Third-party (Vercel). Session.
Marketing
Marketing cookies are used to deliver advertising that is more relevant to you and your interests, to limit how often you see the same ad, and to measure the effectiveness of campaigns. They are usually set by advertising partners with our permission.
- _gcl_au, _gac_*— Google Ads conversion measurement and audience building. Third-party (Google). Up to 90 days.
- _fbp— Meta Pixel. Identifies browsers for advertising and analytics on Meta platforms. Third-party (Meta). Up to 90 days.
- fr— Meta Pixel. Delivers and measures advertising on Meta platforms. Third-party (Meta). Up to 90 days.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies on our website are set by third parties that provide services we rely on, such as payments, security, analytics, error monitoring, and advertising. These providers may process information about your visits to our site and to other websites in order to deliver their services. Representative third parties we work with include Google (Analytics and Ads), Meta (Pixel), Stripe, Cloudflare, Vercel, and Sentry.
We do not control these third parties or the cookies they set. You can learn more about how each provider uses your information by reading their own privacy and cookie policies, and you can adjust your choices for most non-essential third-party cookies through our cookie preferences control.
Managing cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you see which cookies are stored, delete them individually or in bulk, and block cookies from specific sites or all sites. The exact steps vary by browser and version, but you will typically find the controls under the privacy, security, or site settings section of your browser's preferences. Major browsers including Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge all publish up-to-date instructions on their support sites, which we recommend checking for the current menu paths.
Please note that if you block or delete cookies, some parts of our website may not work as intended. For example, you may be signed out, your preferences may not be remembered, or certain features may become unavailable.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal that tells websites you do not want to be tracked. Because there is no common industry standard for how websites should respond to this signal, we do not currently change our behavior based on Do Not Track requests. You can still manage your cookie choices using the preferences control on our website and the browser controls described above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes to our services, or changes in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will take additional steps to notify you, such as through a banner on the site or by email where appropriate.
